FAITH FORMATION LEADER

St. Malachy parish, Geneseo, Illinois, seeks a full time Faith Formation Leader.

St. Malachy parish serves 750 families in a rural community located 25 miles East of Rock Island, IL.

The Faith Formation Leader will have the opportunity to nourish the parish to become disciples of Jesus Christ in a loving Catholic community. St. Malachy parish has many ministries in place and a K-6 grade school.

Essential job functions:    

• Develops and executes a strategic plan
• Responsible for recruiting and training of Faith Formation employees and volunteers
• Leads a Faith Formation Team
• Defines and incorporates communication strategies to promote Faith Formation through effective media

Minimum Qualifications :     

• Degree or equivalent experience in theology, pastoral studies, religious education or another related field (degree preferred)
• Three years of Faith Formation experience in a parish or diocesan position
• Be an active Catholic and member (or willing to become) of St. Malachy parish
• Candidate must be able to plan, organize, communicate, delegate, and collaborate effectively
• Proficient in current technology and sound media

Salary with benefits is commensurate with education and experience.
